Update Sept. 8

The newly re-organized and re-designed Springbrook-Waskasoo LIFE is up and running with a few more pictures and graphics. There will be more pictures published in the future. There will also be more articles in the features and history section about various aspects of how Springbrook got to where it is now.

Currently the features section highlights the future of Springbrook and a short biography of Andrew Charles Mynarski who the community had previously been named after and who a recently dedicated park was named after. Upcoming in the features section will be articles on some of the organizations and businesses that are major players in the community, how air transportation continues to be a major factor in the development of the community, the summer cadet training program, the Red Deer International Air Show and the area structure plan.

The history section features CFB Penhold, the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, the Calgary Edmonton Trail, and the influence of railways on the development of the area. Coming soon will be an article on Red Deer Crossing and Fort Normandeau.

The news section currently has several short one-paragraph articles of some current events that inflence the community now or will in the future. The most recent additions are about the County of Red Deer approving the construction of a new fire hall and the replacement of the water and sewer infrastructure.
